Sept/Oct 2021 issue of Poets & Writers: My MFA

I got a chance to be part of the “My MFA” section of the September/October 2021 issue of Poets & Writers magazine, alongside seven other wonderful writers and recent MFA grads. I talk in some detail about my experience at Iowa State University’s MFA program in Creative Writing and Environment, including some application advice (which I’m thinking about expanding into a blog post—stay tuned!).

Caroliena Cabada is a writer currently based in Lincoln, Nebraska. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing and Environment from Iowa State University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Creative Writing, Fiction, from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her writing has been published in online and print journals and anthologies, and has been selected for Best Small Fictions 2021.
